G’DAE!™ lesson materials provide more than just a violin method book for 4- to 7-year-old beginners. These materials have been designed to gradually introduce musical concepts to pre-readers via hands-on activities, games and colorful, engaging lesson pages written to pre-readers. Parental involvement between lessons (a must at this age level) is facilitated because the lessons are written to be read with and to the student during practice and lesson sessions. Games are designed for a parent or teacher to play with the student. Non-musical parents will learn along with their child!

Each Complete Lesson Set comes with three component parts: the Primary Book for Violin, the G'DAE Flashcard Ring and G'DAE Games. Each Primary Lesson Book includes an introductory Parent/Teacher Guide with information on how to use the lesson materials and violin set-up instructions. Also included with each Complete Lesson Set are a set of color-coding String ID Stickers for the violin fingerboard and 3 "Bow-Nut Donut™" exclusive bow-holding teaching aids. The Complete Lesson Set is packaged in a sturdy see-thru polypropylene envelope to hold all the pieces securely between uses.

A 3-ring binder can also be used to organize materials; purchase here or separately. Additional or replacement components are priced separately below. (The Primary Book for Violin is not intended to be used separate from the Flashcards and Games.)

• Primary Book for Violin: 12 lessons (20 pages), full-color printed and comb-bound. Simple and familiar songs using 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fingers and open strings are presented. By the time the student finishes these 12 lessons WITH accompanying materials, he or she should be ready to transition to a standard elementary-level method book at their teacher's discretion. These 12 lessons can also be used for introductory or group lessons over a limited period of time. Parent/Teacher Guide included as a preface to the lessons and G'DAE Staff Paper is bound in for writing your own music.
  
• The Primary Book is designed to be used with G'DAE Games and Flashcards; do not purchase without these components! If you are teaching group lessons, you could have the students share these materials, but they will benefit much more if they can play the games at home with a parent as part of their practice time between lessons.
  

• THE GREEN BOOK of First Songs for Young Beginners contains lots of familiar playable tunes in G'DAE Color-Coded Notation for Primary Book students! 48 pages; contains 20 familiar folksongs at gradually increasing difficulty levels including Go Tell Aunt Rhody, Camptown Races, Coming 'Round the Mountain, Where is Thumbkin? and more! Christmas selections too. Great for recitals with your G'DAE beginner students. Includes Parent/Teacher Guide.
• Each song is transcribed in 3 versions to help students graduate to standard music notation!! See samples below:
  First: Fully color-coded to match the teaching techniques in the Primary Book (above). Most songs are written to be played on multiple string pairs with identical finger patterns ("movable doh").
