"The Bow-Nut Donuts are unreal. I can't believe how effective they are."  ~ L.P., Utah

Showing Donut split where screw meets stick

Using "corn pads" on bows? Eww... Using Bow-Nut Donuts™ on bows?  Aww...
Many teachers know that young students can benefit from these "training wheels" for their developing bow hold. These bow-hand "pinky pad" positioning aids are less icky AND sticky than corn pads and you don't have to buy 9 or more at a time! The low-tack adhesive is easier on bow surfaces and the Donut can be repositioned or removed with ease.

Can also be used by beginning violists and cellists! Not recommended for long-term use; you will probably find your student is ready to give up these aids after a few months.

Adhere a Donut on top of the bow where the little finger should rest to help your student place, balance and curve their pinky finger. Set of 3 self-adhesive foam stickers, ¾" square, in Ladybug Red and Assorted Brights.

Hint: If the correct position for the Donut is partway over the screw, you can split the Donut or remove just one section of the protective paper backing so that the bow hair can be tightened or loosened without removal. Before adhering the Donut to the bow, place it in the correct position and mark where the line between the stick and the screw will fall under the Donut. Cut the Donut (or the paper backing) along the line with scissors and adhere both halves to the properly-tightened bow so that the hole edges line up. This will also help your student to see when their bow has been tightened correctly--the two sides of the Donut will have to line up.

Another Hint: If you find additional finger-placement aid is necessary at first, you can place a Bow-Nut Donut™ where the thumb will rest under the bow AND on the frog "eye" position for those bows without an inlaid eye.
